Through specialized adaptive equipment, education, and community events, FHNB is helping people of all abilities share in the dream of fishing.
Fishing Has No Boundaries® (FHNB) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing recreational fishing opportunities for all anglers with disabilities — regardless of age, race, gender, or disability. What started in Hayward, Wisconsin, in 1986 has grown into a national movement with chapters across multiple states, bringing the thrill of fishing to thousands each year.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to remove barriers, foster independence, and create unforgettable experiences on the water.
It all began when Hayward fishing guide Bobby Cammack broke his leg and realized how challenging it could be to fish with limited mobility. Determined to make fishing accessible for everyone, he organized the first FHNB event in 1988 on the Chippewa Flowage — drawing participants from seven states.
Today, with thousands of participants and volunteers nationwide, that same passion continues to drive us. Adaptive tools like joystick-operated reels, ramp systems, and accessible pontoons make it possible for anyone to experience the joy of catching “the big one.”
