Our instructors are deeply rooted in the rescue community, both through their work with Pioneer Rescue & Outfitters and their involvement in the broader world of emergency services. They are active firefighters, EMTs, and volunteer search and rescue professionals who bring real-world experience into every training session. This firsthand knowledge ensures that the techniques and strategies they teach are not only effective but also practical and field-tested. Kaylin Rieckmann has been an on-call firefighter since 2010. She is proud to be a P.R.O. instructor, and currently serves as her town’s Emergency Manager and public education coordinator. She is certified in high angle ropes, slope evacuation, swiftwater rescue, grain engulfment, and ice rescue, as well as a Wisconsin State Certified Emergency Services Instructor, EMR, Officer, Drive/Operator, and rescue team member.
When she’s not working, Kaylin likes to be out kayaking, checking out old bookstores, or finding new recipes.
